Donald Trump announced a $1,000,000 reward for reporting voter fraud in past elections or the 2026 midterms. He confirmed the offer in a post on Truth Social on Monday. The president specified that the payment is contingent upon the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for the fraud.

In his post, Trump wrote that anyone reporting fraud in past elections or the upcoming midterm election will be paid the full amount. He added that the payout occurs upon the arrest and conviction of those who created the fraud. Trump closed the message by thanking the public for their attention to the matter.

The president reiterated the offer to reporters before boarding Air Force One for a campaign rally in Mississippi. He described the payment as a bonus or reward for anyone whose report leads to an arrest and conviction. Trump did not disclose the source of funding for these future payouts.

The White House has not yet responded to requests for comment on how the administration will manage the program. The announcement arrives ahead of the November midterm elections. It follows repeated claims by Trump regarding widespread voter fraud in previous cycles.

Democratic state attorneys general expanded coordination efforts earlier this month. They moved to counter potential federal interference in the upcoming elections. This response came amid growing concerns over the administration's stance on voter fraud claims.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta criticized the administration's efforts to restrict alleged noncitizen voting. He accused the White House of politicizing and weaponizing the law. This follows similar initiatives in the past, such as the offer by Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick in 2020.

Patrick offered a $25,000 reward for election fraud tips during the 2020 cycle. He stated that the offer supported Trump's efforts to identify fraud and ensure legal votes were counted. The first payout under that program went to Eric Frank, a Democratic poll worker in Pennsylvania. Frank's tip led to the conviction of a 72-year-old Republican who voted twice, once in his own name and once in his son's name.
